Highly respected for his contributions to the UAE’s air traffic management sector, Ibrahim Ahli graduated from Dubai Aviation College in 1996 to start his career as an air traffic controller. He later became an ATC instructor, and then held managerial and directorial positions before being appointed as dans’ chief operating officer. He has been a key enabler for dans’ transformation into an independent ANS provider, and under his leadership the company has successfully implemented various innovative solutions to tackle key ATM challenges. For many years, Ibrahim has also been the deputy chairman of the Flying Control Committee for the prestigious Dubai Air Show.
In 1982, he moved to the Department of Civil Aviation, presently the Dubai Civil Aviation Authority, as the Operations Director, responsible for all Airport Operations and International Affairs.
